What I did

Families in Lebanon have been displaced, so three of us started raising money from here in Bethesda. I co-founded Lights for Lebanon and run it as executive director. We ran five grassroots campaigns in three months, bake sales included, and raised more than $2,000. It goes to aid partners working on the ground, like Beit el Baraka and the American Task Force on Lebanon.

In one line

A fundraiser three of us started to send money and supplies to displaced families in Lebanon.

How it was built

  1. Start small and local

Bake sales and grassroots campaigns here in Bethesda, each with a running total anyone can see.

  2. Send it where it works

The money goes to established aid partners on the ground, not spent by us.
